The year is 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare. David Mason leads an elite team on a covert mission to the sprawling city of Avalon. While there, they discover a sophisticated plot that won’t just plunge the world into chaos, it will pull them into their own haunting pasts.

World & Story Missions

I worked multiple missions in the Black Ops 7 campaign, some taking place in the fictional city-state of Avalon and another that takes place in a Russian labor camp, Vorkuta. 

The Avalon world missions (Inside & Quarantine) utilize multiple different points of interest on the Avalon big map to deliver different encounters and gameplay opportunities for players to engage with. Players could potentially approach each encounter from any angle with a wide variety of tools, which challenged our design and gave constraints that we had to work around.

The story mission Suppression took place in Vorkuta and offers players a more traditional linear mission. Since the campaign is largely focused on a Co-Op experience we tried to find unique and interesting experiences, we could deliver upon while still allowing players to complete it solo. Some of the mission’s highlights are separating players at the start, multiple capture zones players can split up or stick together to complete, a difficult zombie barrage, and much more!
